(IC) Chapter 1: Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion

Mesotamia, the Between-Land, is the central dimension in the tree of the Multiverse. As the central dimension, Mesotamia receives lost individuals who stumble out of their worlds through various means. Since the heartless invasion began, dozens of individuals have been stumbling into worm holes as their worlds were consumed in darkness. The individuals get transported to the center of Mesotamia, where Mesotamians are ready and prepared to receive them. Prior to the heartless invasion, individuals would be sent back to their home worlds. Now that worlds are being consumed in darkness, the individuals transported to Mesotamia have become refugees. The thing to do is defeat the heartless and reverse the affects of their invasion so that the refugees can return home.
Wiwoka, a wizard from Mesotamia, has been given the task of recruiting a keyblade wielder from Hollow Bastian and organizing a team to defeat the heartless threat.

Wiwoka, with the power of the Multiverse Orb, travels to the world of Hollow Bastion in search of a Keyblade wielder to join his team. The primary anti-Heartless defense force is stationed here. Wiwoka began his search by traveling through the castle.

Shiro made his way through the foundry, a bitter look on his face. "Last time I'm ever asking Uncle Scrooge for ice cream", he complained, "how can it be called ice cream when it's salty??" He was supposed to be on his way to hone his skills with Yuffie; he would've done it with Leon, but him and Aeris are always busy, and Cloud isn't exactly a go-to guy, socially. Just then, outta the corner of his eye, Shiro saw someone who looked like a black mage. "Strange... was that Vivi?" he asked out loud. "And if so, what's he doing here?" Moreso HOW was he here? It's not like people can travel between worlds with ease. Curious, Shiro decided to follow the Vivi lookalike

Wiwoka walked around and so far, had no luck locating a keyblade wielder...or anyone for that matter. "Hello!" he yelled, "Anybody here!?"

"Hey, what are you doing here Vivi?" Shiro asked him. As he walked towards him, flashes of black mist appeared around them; they were surrounded by a group of Heartless. "Heartless?? Here??" Shiro exclaimed, "I thought Leon upped the security protocol." With no time to spare, Shiro got ready. "I dunno how you creeps got in here, but one thing is certain: I'm gonna stomp all of you into the ground!!"

Wiwoka pulled out his blade in preparation for battle. "I don't know who this Vivi is," he said, "My name is Wiwoka and I'm from the world of Mesotamia. I've come here to enlist the help of a keyblade wielder for my quest."

"Really? 'Cause you kinda remind me of-" Shiro was interrupted by two Heartless attacking him, but he reacted just quick enough to block them and push them back. "Hold that thought," he said looking back at Wiwoka. Shiro then dove into the group of Heartless and conjured up magic to send a plume of fire to blast away a few of them.

"These heartless sure are annoying," said Wiwoka. Wiwoka rushed into the crowed of heartless, and with swiftness took out 7 of them.

Shiro was so distracted by Wiwoka that he didn't notice the group of Heartless catching him off guard. They swatted him away with their claws, sending him flying into he wall. "Neoshadows," he grunted as he got back up, wincing in pain. "Looks like they brought some Soldiers, too. They're not messing around, are they?"

"I've had enough of this," said Wiwoka, "Back up kid." Wiwoka opened up a portal to his pocket dimension and a large, intimidating weapon fell out and landed next to him. He sat the weapon up and aimed it towards the enemy. "Eat this Heartless!" The blasts of the weapon were deafening as bullets flew through the air, mowing down the Heartless soldiers.

'"Okay... that was cool," Shiro said with his mouth wide open. Through the hail of rapid fire, he noticed the three Neoshadows teleported past Wiwoka's attack and was about to strike him down. "Look out!" He moved in the way, releasing his Keyblade and blocking the attacks before cutting them down all at once.

"Thanks for the save friend," said Wiwoka as he sent the weapon back through the portal into his pocket dimension. Wiwoka scanned the area, checking to see if any Heartless remained. "Wait a minute!" he thought as he turned towards Shiro, "You're a keyblade wielder!" he exclaimed.

"Huh? Oh, yeah." Shiro showed him his Keyblade. "This is Dragon Storm. I only use it in situations like that, otherwise I'd use my fists or the blade on my back." He disengaged his Keyblade, making it disappear in a flash of flame. "I'm Shiro, I recently graduated from Kingdom Hearts Academy. "

"Wonderful," replied Wiwoka, "I've been sent on a mission by my leader. We must defeat the Heartless that are invading various worlds. I'm sure the bulk of the anti-Heartless force will be preoccupied elsewhere. I want you to help me form a small team that can travel between the worlds and save them before they are consumed in darkness. Will you join me?"

'"Wait, hold on. What darkness? I thought the rest of these Heartless were just stragglers after Sora beat them all," Shiro stated, surprised. It didn't make a lot of sense. Some strange guy comes out of nowhere, Heartless show up despite the castle's defense system, and he wants him to join this stranger on some kind of quest. "I'm not so sure Leon would approve of this.." As if on cue, Leon appeared with Yuffie. "Sorry about that everyone, Tron made a bit if an error in the systems check; it caused security to fluctuate. " Yuffie noticed Shiro and Wiwoka and said, "Hey Shiro. How's it hanging? What's Vivi doing here? "

"I'm assuming this is where Shiro comes in," Leon said inquisitively. "Wait, why me?" Shiro exclaimed. "Yeah, why not find Sora and ask him?" Yuffie added, "I'm sure he'd be willing to help."

"Not that I wouldn't be eager to travel with the legendary keyblade wielder," said Wiwoka, "But every second I waste looking for him is a second I could be using to recruit other team members. Worlds are being destroyed as we speak! I believe it was fate that brought me to this location where I would meet you."

.Leon, Yuffie, and Shiro stood there, thinking long and hard. Then Shiro looked up and said, "All right. I'll go." "You're sure about this?" Leon asked him. "Yeah, I'll be fine. When this is over I'm coming back, I promise." He then turned to face Wiwoka. "Okay, ready when you are."

"I want to go to Radiant Garden and see if we can recruit someone there," he said, "After that we can begin our journey and hopefully gather other allies along the way." Wiwoka opened a portal to his pocket dimension and a hover bike came out. He hopped on the hover bike and looked towards Shiro. "Radiant Garden isn't far from here," he said, "Is there any chance you know of someone who would be fit to assist us on our journey?"

"Well, there's quite a few. A lot of KHA grads are from Radiant Gardens, me included," Shiro said while mounting the bike and sitting behind him.

Arriving in the Radiant Garden Market Place, Wiwoka hopped off the bike and sent it back to his pocket dimension. "Alright," said Wiwoka, "Where do you suggest we go? Just walking around asking people to join us could take forever. We need to get a third team member quickly."

She was wearing a blue jumpsuit that was still covered in dirt and oil from Cid's shop where she worked.
