(OOC) The Land of Wind Characters

(1) Ayano

Gender: Female
Age: 16
Current Status: Alive
Ayano is the daughter of the current Kazekage, Gaara.  Once the one-tailed Shukaku was returned to the sand after the war, it was sealed away into a gourd rather than a person.  However, the gourd was not strong enough and the beast continued to break free.  Eventually, Gaara, as the Kazekage, chose to seal half of it away inside of his daughter, who was only 2 at the time.  Ayano would have grown up similarly to how Gaara himself did, but Gaara was highly encouraging and helpful to Ayano through her struggles and by the age of 10 she had excellent control of the Shukaku powers.  After this she was allowed to enter the academy and she graduated by age 13.  Upon graduating from the academy, Gaara himself placed Ayano in team Yuudai.

(2) Hayate

Gender: Male
Age: 17
Current Status: Alive
Hayate is one of two shinobi, the other being Gorick, who was trained for the specific purpose of being Ayano's teammate.  Once Ayano first entered the academy, Gaara asked the instructor to pick out two exceptional students who would be trained separately for Ayano.  Hayate was one of the two selected.  Hayate is very disciplined, loyal to his village, and willing to risk his life for the sake of the Kazekage's daughter.  Upon graduation from the academy, Hayate was placed in team Yuudai.

(3) Gorick

Gender: Male
Age: 17
Current Status: Alive
Gorick is one of two shinobi, the other being Hayate, who was trained for the specific purpose of being Ayano's teammate.  Once Ayano first entered the academy, Gaara asked the instructor to pick out two exceptional students who would be trained separately for Ayano.  Gorick was one of the two selected.  Gorick specializes in fuinjutsu, which are sealing and summoning techniques.  Gorick feels the Land of Fire and its shinobi are overrated and tends to look down upon them.  Upon graduating from the academy, Gorick was placed in team Yuudai.

(4) Yuudai

Gender: Male
Age: 28
Current Status: Alive
Yuudai is one of the Kazekage's most trusted advisors.  While serving as an advisor, Yuudai's intelligence and combat skills were highly praised by Gaara.  Yuudai has completed many S-rank missions and served as an interim instructor for a few months after the former instructor died of a heart attack.  Gaara trusted Yuudai so much, that he made Yuudai Ayano's godfather.  Once Ayano graduated from the academy, Gaara formed team Yuudai and placed Ayano directly under Yuudai's tutelage.  Yuudai currently serves as both leader of team Yuudai and Gaara's most trusted advisor.

(5) Yumi Saruwatari

Gender: Female
Age: 21
Current Status: Alive
Yumi Saruwatari is a kunoichi from Sunagakure who was hand chosen by Gaara to be the to jinchuriki for half of the One-tailed beast. Thanks to a special sealing jutsu done by an Uzumaki, the Shukaku chakra was split between Yumi and Ayano. Yumi was trained in secret by Temari and she soon mastered the fan as a weapon. Yumi's job as Ayano's bodyguard was just one of her many duties as the Kazekage's left hand. She would often travel to the leaf with Temari and work with Naruto and his disciple: Kitsune. During those times the two kages engaged the two Jinchuriki to seal brotherhood between the two Villages.

(6) Negasi the Lion

Gender: Male
Age: ??
Current Status: Alive
Negasi is a summoning animal loyal to the hidden sand, and specifically, a select group of sand shinobi.  Negasi is an expert swordsman and a user of wind style ninjutsu.  He has a very brave and honorable nature, as he would prefer to die in battle than surrender.
